Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026. This policy covers firststatebitcoin.net. firststatebitcoin.net is run by an independent community directory founded by Hen, a Delaware sole proprietor.

What we collect

This website has no forms, no sign-ups, no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. It runs no scripts of its own. We do not ask for or store your name, address or payment details through this site.

We only receive personal information if you choose to send it to us:

• Email. If you email us (for example to suggest a shop, request setup help or ask for a correction), we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write.
• Bitcoin tips. If you send a tip, it goes on the public bitcoin blockchain, where the amount, the time and the sending address can be seen by anyone. We do not link tips to names.
• Business listings. For listed businesses we keep public business details (name, town, phone, hours, how they accept bitcoin) and a record that the owner approved the listing.

Sats Defender leaderboard

The Sats Defender leaderboard stores only the 3 initials you enter, your score, the wave you reached and the time you saved it. It uses no cookies and does not store IP addresses, accounts or emails. The board resets every Monday at 12:00 AM Eastern Time.

Our hosting provider

The site is delivered by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare's email address protection may hide email addresses on our pages from spam bots. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

How we use and share it

We use what you send only to reply to you, check and update listings, and keep simple records of tips for tax purposes. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run our email, hosting and tip wallet, or when the law requires it.

Third-party tracking and Do Not Track

We do not allow third parties to collect information about your online activity on this site over time or across other websites. Because we do not track visitors at all, we treat every visitor the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Links to other sites (such as Square, BTC Map or X) take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Review, change or delete your information

To see, correct or delete information you have sent us, or to change or remove a business listing, email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 7 days.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. For important changes, such as adding a contact form or analytics, we will also post a notice on the home page before the change takes effect.
